James "Jerry" Ryan

James "Jerry" Ryan, age 79, of Mason, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash.  He was born Thursday, June 29, 1939 in Springfield, Kentucky to Joseph W. and Edith C. (nee Thompson) Ryan. With a great sense of humor, Jerry made friends with everyone he met.  He never focused on his own needs, willing to give a complete stranger the shirt off his back if it would help someone.  Even when Jerry was not feeling good, he never lost his ability to be a gentleman.  Described as a mechanical tinkerer, Jerry could fix just about anything.  He loved everything about cars and enjoyed going to shows.  Jerry has many stories revolving around an RV and car races. Jerry was preceded in death by: parents, Joseph and Edith Ryan; son, Joe Ryan; daughter, Megan Ryan; daughter-in-law, Julie Ryan; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. Jerry is survived by: his wife, Debbie (nee Choate) Ryan; children, Jamey (Kim) Ryan and Damon Ryan; grandchildren, Jake Ryan, Courtney Ryan, Danny Ryan and Landen Gasper; great-granddaughter, Charlie Ryan; and other loving family  members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
