Joan D. Chamberlain (nee Millard), 80, of West Chester, OH passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, March 1, 2019. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA to Howard and Mae Millard in 1938. She has loved and left behind her loving family of; late husband Francis W. Chamberlain, Jr., beloved sons; Francis W. Chamberlain, III, Thomas (Elizabeth) Chamberlain and Craig (Sandy) Chamberlain, Sr., devoted niece of Mary Dunn, dear sister Eileen Olsen, loving grandmom of Francis W. Chamberlain, IV, Kevin Chamberlain, Bethany Joan Chamberlain, Ivy (Mark) Gaydosh and Craig J. "C.J." (Carly) Chamberlain, Jr. and great-grandson Carson Chamberlain, and aunt of Eric (Lisa) Olsen, Chris Olsen and Cheryl (David) Lendzinski; great aunt to Erica Olsen, Emiliano Andujar, and Ashton and Sierra Lendzinski.
Joan's grandkids provided great joy and happiness to her. She was a great mom to her sons and was known as "Mom Taxi" as she drove them to any and all their sporting events. Joan was an excellent bowler. She was in a bowling league for over 30 years. She was an animal lover especially her dog 'Jude'. Being from Philadelphia she was a baseball and hockey fan. Phillies and Flyers!! Joan and her best friend for over thirty years, Jane Macbeth, enjoyed weekly movie/lunch dates together and were considered the family motion picture critics. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, church and neighbors.
Visitation at Tri-County Baptist Church, 8195 Beckett Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069 on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 5-7 PM. Service at the Church on Wednesday, March 6 at 10:00 AM. Interment at West Chester Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
