Dorthea Jean "Dottie" Miller (nee Burchardt), of West Chester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the age of 88. She was born Tuesday, July 8, 1930 in Crescent, Oklahoma to August and Catherine (nee Damon) Burchardt.
Dottie received her BSN from Lakeland College and her Master's from Cardinal Stritch. As an advocate for senior care and well-being, she worked for Joint Commission across the country. Dottie was always willing to give and help others. It is no surprise to say she never met a stranger. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Dottie was preceded in death by: parents, August and Catherine Burchardt; husbands, Norman Baguhn and Rev. Dean Roy Miller; and brother, Charles Burchardt.
Dottie is survived by: children, Rebecca (Todd) Wilber, Scott Baguhn and Elizabeth (Richard) Mauer; step-children, Cathy (Carl) Reeverts, Glen Miller and Ron (Henrietta) Miller; grandchildren, Eric Wilber, Ryan (Jenny) Wilber, Brian (Marcy) Baguhn, Carolyn Mauer, Clint (Joy) Johnson, Jenny Marie Reeverts, Carl Dean Reeverts, Kevin Reeverts and Hannah Miller; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Landen and Megan Wilber, Olivia and Dylan Baguhn, Nicholas Mauer, & Isabelle, Charlie and Madison Johnson; sister-in-law, Jane Burchardt; and many loving family members and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Chesterwood Chapel, 8073 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069, on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 11:00 AM until Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 AM with Rev. Troy Sybrant officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at Chesterwood Clubhouse.
