Bobby R. Cox

Bobby R. Cox, age 77, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his residence.  He was born Monday, September 29, 1941 in Kettle Island, Kentucky to Richard H. and Irene M. (nee Craft) Cox.

Bobby retired as a Principal in the Princeton City School District, having been in the district for over 30 years.  While there, he received 4 Excellence in Education Awards and met 4 US Presidents. Educating was in his blood. Bobby, referred to as "Grump", "Bump" and "Bumpy" by his grandchildren, enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing with the kids and traveling to places of interest. He liked to play 'poormans poker' and watch the beloved UK Wildcat Basketball Team. Go Cats! His deep love was for his family. They always came first and were taken care of before anything else. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Bobby was preceded in death by: parents, Richard and Irene Cox; son, Robert "Chad" Cox; sister, Peggy Morlock; and brother, Thomas T.G. (Wanda) Cox.

Bobby is survived by: wife, Linda J. (nee Diesh) Cox; children, Richard (Judy) Cox, Chelle (Arthur) Precht, Pam (Jeffrey) Osborne and Scott (Susan) McIntosh; grandchildren, Thomas "T.R." (Kim) Cox, Christopher (Kela) Cox, Ben Precht, Ryan McIntosh, Cassidy Osborne, Erin McIntosh, Ryan Cunningham and Nate (Bercille) Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Quinn Cox, Skylar Cox, Raylan Cox, Kira Cox, Kelvin Cox and Calvin Cunningham; aunt, Freddie Hahling; and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 .  Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 with Rev. David Hood officiating at the Funeral Home.  Interment will immediately follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton, Ohio.
