A graduate of St. Xavier High School, Jim attended the University of Cincinnati before serving in the Korean War with the 3rd Infantry Division, 15th Regiment Medical Co. It was during this time he received the Combat Medical Badge. After the service he worked for O'Connor & Engel Engineers for many years.
Jim was preceded in death by: his parents, Stanley and Elizabeth Davis; son, Greg Davis; and brother, Edward (Eleanor) Davis.
Jim is survived by: his loving wife of 59 years, Lois (nee Lohman) Davis; children, Mark (Brenda Lucas) Davis, Paul (Lisa) Davis, and Gina (Adonis) Vergara; grandchildren, A.J., Christina and Anthony Vergara, Allison Davis and Heather and Eric Davis; brother Thomas Davis; many nieces and nephews, and lots of friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Memorial Mass will follow at 12:00 noon with Father Bob Farrell as Celebrant. The family will continue celebrating Jim's life with a reception immediately following mass.
