Rena C. Kessling

Rena C. Kessling, age 95, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  She was born Tuesday, July 3, 1923 in Dryden, Ontario, Canada to Alex and Mary Gilmour (nee Ferguson) Leishman.

Devoted to her faith, Rena dedicated much of her time to caring for others.  She was proud of her family and delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  As members of Bellwood Country Club for many years, Rena enjoyed golfing.  An avid reader, Rena also looked forward to a good game of bridge with her club friends. She and Barney loved to dance and enjoyed boating for many years, as well.

Rena was preceded in death by: parents, Alex and Mary C. Leishman; husband, Bernard H. Kessling; and brother, Gordon Leishman.

Rena is survived by: children, Michael H. (Carol A.) Kessling, Kathy (Mike) Hinger and Bernard "Ben" (Stephanie) Kessling; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Chambin, Kelli (Thomas) Fritz, Michael (Elizabeth) Kessling, Lindsay (Bob) Franke, Zack (Amanda) Hinger, Kaitlyn Gronauer, Christopher Kessling, Kelsie Gronauer, Alexandra "Ali" Kessling and Karley Kessling; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden & Barrett Chamblin, Hailey & Hannah Fritz, Griffin Franke and Lily & Theresa Hinger; and many other loving family members.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 177 Siebenthaler Avenue, Reading, Ohio 45215.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Church.  Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
