John Haruch

John Haruch , age 83, 45 year resident of Fairfield, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2018. John was born Wednesday, June 19, 1935 in Lyons, IL to James and Katherine (nee Stach) Haruch.

John retired as Commander from the United States Navy after 35 years of service and and was a career employee at Procter & Gamble for over 25 years.  John was very active with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Priesthood Holder.  John enjoyed reading and watching documentaries about Military History and had an appreciation of the Arts.

John was preceded in death by: parents, James and Katherine Haruch; and siblings, George Haruch, Vera (Glen) Tomlinson, Mary (Joe) Ello and Sylvia Golich.

John is survived by: his loving wife of 61 years, Constance "Connie" (nee Heffley) Haruch; children, John Haruch, James (Cinda) Haruch, Aaron (Christine) Haruch and Joy (Eric) Rose; grandchildren, Katherine (Justin) Kirkland, Zachary Haruch, Emily Haruch, Nathaniel Haruch, Abigail Haruch, Orion Rose, Katherine Rose and Marion Rose; one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Jim (Jenny) Haruch, Jerry (Trudy) Haruch, Helen (Ray) Warchol; with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM until time of Service at 7:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Fairfield Chapel, 4831 Pleasant Avenue, Fairfield, OH 45014.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
