Frederick Dale Williams

Frederick D. Williams, age 79, of Maineville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was born Saturday, April 15, 1939 in Findlay, Ohio to Maurice and Margaret (Hill) Williams

Fred served in the Marines at the end of the Vietnam War prior to entering college. He was a graduate of Bowling Green University, majoring in English Literature. Also, Fred received a Master’s degree from the University of Akron. He spent most of his life in Education, retiring as the Superintendent of Little Miami school district.

Fred enjoyed traveling and had a passion for reading especially History. He loved most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Fred loved most sports and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye football fan. Golf, however, was his favorite sport. Always ready for a round of golf as Fred carried his clubs in his car wherever he went.

Fred was preceded in death by: parents, Maurice and Margaret Williams

Fred is survived by: his beloved wife of 45 years, Sally J (Church) Williams; children, Terry (Susan) DeFelice and Sherry (Ray) Freudiger; grandchildren, Andrew DeFelice, Brittany (Brock) VanCleave, Alicia DeFelice, Danny Freudiger, and Becca Freudiger; siblings, Tom (Martha) Williams, Bill (Frances) Williams, Carol (Joey) Hucke and Jim (Betty) Williams; and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 11:00 AM until time of Prayer Service at 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Family and Friends will continue to celebrate Fred’s life with food and fellowship in the Mueller Family Center immediately following the service.

Memorials may be directed to Special Olympics of Ohio, Inc., 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232 due to Fred’s love for his special needs grandson.
