Robert F. Altherr

Robert F. 'Curly' Altherr, Sr., 92, of Mason, OH passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Bob was born in Cincinnati, OH to Edward and Margaret Altherr in 1926. He is the beloved husband of Gladys (nee Schulte) for 67 years, devoted father of Robert F. (Christina) Altherr, Jr., Karen (Richard) Johnson, Jeffrey (Diane) Altherr, Evelyn Altherr and Leslie (Ron) Galley, loving grandfather of Robert F. Altherr, III, Victor Altherr, William (Naomi) Altherr, Jennifer (Peter) Roden, Adam (Tracy) Johnson, Carrie (Dan) Little, Brian (Julie) Altherr, Tyler Galley and the late Jessica Galley and 6 great-grandchildren, dear brother of the late William Altherr, Dorothy Dragon and Virginia Miller and brother-in-law of Lois Piening, also survived by many nieces and nephews.


Curly was an avid bowler and stamp collector. He enjoyed fishing, being on the farm and working in the garden. In his later years he was a well versed social talker. His family will dearly miss him.

Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 10:30 AM until time of Service at 12:30 PM. Cincinnati-Lafayette Masonic Lodge F&AM 483 will conduct services at 12 noon Monday. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, OH.
