Zelma B. Durham

November 8, 1922 — December 6, 2018

Zelma B. Durham (nee Phelps) was born on November 8, 1922 in Mt. Victory, Kentucky to her parents William and Sariah Phelps. In death she is reunited with her late husband John "Jack" Charles Durham who passed away in 1975. She was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Helton Phelps and her five brothers Ora, Prince, Lewis, Elza and Floyd. Zelma will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and her two dear friends Sherry Lisle and Pam Horton.

Zelma was devoted to God and faithfully read her bible and prayed. She also loved to praise God through song. Zelma was very active serving the church, there was almost no job or position that she did not fill at some point. She was known for not being afraid to take charge and always knowing how to be a good leader. She never had children of her own, but she opened her home to help raise and care for many young people.
