Jackie was the epitome of Southern grace and charm. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, she carried her family's love with her to Cincinnati over 50 years ago to raise her children with her husband, Harry. Her purpose and passion in life was her family, and she was a devoted wife and mother. She kept a beautiful home which was always a nurturing place for her family and friends to gather, and where she could see to everyone's needs and make everyone feel at home. She was an amazing cook, and all of her grandchildren had numerous favorite dishes that they all knew Nana would be more than happy to make for them. Nana was always so thoughtful and generous, making birthdays and holidays special, and going to the grandchildren's activities when she was able. Her family always knew how much she loved them.
Before starting her family, Jackie worked for 8 years as an isotope lab technician at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. During her years in Montgomery, Ohio, she enjoyed hosting Supper Club dinners, playing Bridge, and bowling on a ladies team. She was also very artistically talented and enjoyed drawing, ceramics, and home decor. Jackie/Mom/Nana will always be with us in our hearts -- we miss her terribly, but trust God will keep her close until we can be with her again.
