Margaret E. "Margie" Doyle (nee Smith), age 74, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash. She was born Saturday, January 8, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harold Clos and Ruth Virginia (nee Hasken) Smith, of Southgate, Kentucky. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing and Health with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Margie worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati for 3 years.
Saturday, June 28, 1969 was a very special day for Margie as she said "I Do" to her soulmate, Vincent L. Doyle. Together, they would raise three children; gain a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law, all to finally be rewarded with seven amazing grandchildren. Her family will fondly remember the spaghetti and meatball dinners she made along with the most delectable chocolate chip puffs you could imagine. While some family members also make these and other Margie creations, they will never quite compare to hers. As a member of the St. John the Evangelist Church's Art and Environment Committee for many years, Margie put her love of ironing to good use.
Traveling always brought a smile to Margie's face. Margie and her husband Vince traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren. Her favorite destination was Sunset Beach in North Carolina. However, she could find enjoyment sitting in the sun anywhere. Margie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Margie was preceded in death by: her parents, Harold and Ruth Smith. She is survived by: her husband Vince of almost 50 years; children, Jennifer Doyle (Andy) Baker, Michael (Brenda) Doyle and David (Nelle) Doyle; grandchildren, Carly and Quinn Baker, Madison, Leo and Charlotte Doyle & Corie and Connor Doyle; brother, Hal (Karen) Smith; and other loving family members and friends.
