William Robert Bell

William Robert Bell , age 72, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 after a couragious battle with Leukemia.  He was born Tuesday, December 25, 1945 in Berwyn, Illinois to Burdell and Mary Luella (nee Wood) Bell.

On Saturday, October 11, 1975, William received one of life's greatest gifts.  He married his best-friend and life-long sweetheart, Gretchen Swikard in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Together, they would spend the next 43 years watching their family grow.  After retiring from Ford as an Engineer, William and Gretchen found their little piece of heaven in Cape Coral, Florida.

Bob enjoyed Chicago Hot Dogs, pizza and any casino.  He loved his dogs, especially Rocky.

A sportsfan, William was always cheering his children on.  In fact, he often traveled with the teams videotaping the games.  Spending time outdoors, fishing and boating, always brought a smile to his face.

William was preceded in death by: his parents, Burdell and Mary Bell; daughter, Miranda D. Bell; a brother, Beecher W Bell; and is beloved dog, Rocky.

William is survived by: his wife, Gretchen Bell; sons, John (Heather) Bell and Benjamin (Kristen) Bell; daughters, Wendy Deaton and Dawn (Dan) Brewer; grandchildren, Connor Bell, Trevor Bell, Jacob Gill, Ashur Bell, Raleigh Bell, Kaitlyn Bell, Benny Bell, Brittany Kovalaski and Dominique Kovalaski; sister, Charlene (William) Black; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Bell and Jackie Shaffer; and many other loving family members and friends.
