Marilyn C. Prescott (nee Dunlop), age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Chesterwood Village. She was born on April 13th, 1938 to Charles and Jennie (nee Laird) Dunlop.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Marilyn loved everything about New York, and was always up for a good adventure. Even after moving to Ohio, she kept her "New York State of Mind."
Marilyn was a natural when it came to bowling. Playing in several leagues, she was a tough woman to beat. Her participation in state and national bowling tournaments allowed her to combine her love of the game along with her love of traveling.
Marilyn was also known for her soft heart and love for animals. Loving her "fur-babies" as family members, it would only be appropriate to mention she was preceded in death by: Skipper, Andy, Annie, Brandy and Alexandra.
Marilyn was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Jennie Dunlop; husband, Martin Prescott; and brothers, William Dunlop and The Rev. Robert C. Dunlop.
Marilyn is survived by: her daughter, Patricia Prescott; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Saint Anne Episcopal Church, 6461 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Funeral Service will follow at 12:15 PM at the Church with The Rev. Phyllis Spiegel officiating. Marilyn lived a good life and loved to have fun. Please celebrate her life by wearing your brightest and happiest Easter Sunday attire!
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.
