Ellie (Ellen) Weik 1995~2018

Our Free Spirit, our Ellie has left us much too early at the young age of 23.  Born on Wednesday, May 17, 1995 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she lived a life that was full of color, music, nature and the ability to turn anything into art.

Ellie had the natural ability to express herself with clothing that could speak a million words while she simply smiled.  From turning crystals into jewelry and creating macramé masterpieces out of a simple cord, Ellie saw the beauty in everything.  She enjoyed expressing herself through hairstyling after completing her cosmetology license.

Her playlist would contain a wide variety of music.  Being outdoors is where she felt most comfortable.  Ellie would often be found climbing trees, perhaps to pick her next "hammocking" site.

Ellie was preceded in death by: maternal grandfather, Harlan Wolter; and paternal grandmother, Phyllis Weik.

Ellie is survived by: mother, Tamara (nee Wolter) Weik; father, David W. (Kristi) Weik; sister, Laura Weik; maternal grandmother, Myra (Larry) Lawrenz; paternal grandfather, Frank Weik; Aunt, Kim (Tyron) Geerdes; Uncles, Philip (Lisa) Weik and Thom (Vicki) Weik; cousins, Amber (Kenneth) VanDenTop, Grant Geerdes, Sarah Weik, Jeff Weik, Adam Weik, Nathan Weik, Christopher Weik and Matthew Weik; second cousins, Addisyn VanDenTop and Victoria VanDenTop; many other loving family members; and a large spectrum of friends.

So many lives have been touched by Ellie and you have so many stories that we would love to hear.  Please bring a picture and memory to share with the family.  These will be placed in a scrapbook at a later time for the family to cherish.  These stories are what will keep her love alive.

We encourage you to wear something yellow or tie-dye as a celebration of Ellie's life.  Please bring a drum if you would like to help make music at her service.  Visitation will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Liberty Heights Church, 7904 Princeton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45044. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Liberty Heights Church with Pastor Lowell Michelson officiating.

Along with tragedies come many unforeseen expenses.  Please help the family by sending donations to Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funds will also be used to plant a tree to honor Ellie's special and unique life.

Our circle of love continues to grow.  We are grateful for all those that have helped and shown love by an outpouring of support.  A special thank you to the West Chester Police Department for keeping their promise of doing everything they could to bring our Ellie home.
