Ben H. Wallace, Jr.

Ben Howard Wallace, Jr. (86), born and lifetime resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Loving husband of Janet Salatin Wallace for almost 27 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Ben H. Wallace, Sr. and Lula (Phelps) Wallace, first-wife Joyce (Flick) Wallace, sisters-in-law Bev Salatin and Ruthann Mueller.

He is also survived by his son Jeff (Laura) Wallace, daughter Connie (Mike) Griffin, granddaughter Jessica Joyce Griffin, brothers Ronald (Jerry) and Robert Wallace. Brothers-in-law; Richard (Donna), Roger, Steve (Pat), Charles and Ron (Sue) Salatin, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Ben retired from Steelcraft Manufacturing with over 40 years of service, as Plant Manager, and then worked as a consultant. During his lifetime he served as a Boy Scout leader for the Dan Beard Council, Director of the Montgomery Fire Department, and a Junior Achievement Advisor.  He attended North College Hill High School and the University of Cincinnati.  Ben enjoyed spending time with family and friends on his boat, at the bowling alley, and golf course, as well as singing karaoke (Elvis), collecting pig memorabilia and traveling, he was always ready for an adventure. He will be missed.

Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM. Family reception to follow service.
