Rae J. Seeman

Rae J. Seeman (nee Sparling) 96, formerly of California passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 in West Chester, OH. Rae was born in 1921 to Roy T. and Cecil L. Sparling in Akron, Colorado. She is the beloved wife of the late Sam Seeman, devoted mother of Roselea M. (late Frank) Fulkerson and Norman Seeman, loving grandma of Norman (Laura) Seeman, Leanne Seeman, Robin Seeman and Sam (Shari) Fulkerson, dear sister of the late LeRoy, Donald and Doyle, loving great-grandma of Alexander (Abby), Dean (Andrea), Aubrie, Sierra, Colin, Christina and Ashely and great-great-grandmother of Bentley.

Rae was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). She was born in a very small town in Colorado were she had to grow up fast after her father passed away. She took care of her brothers at the age of 10. At the age of 8 she was attending school and a young man 14 years old (Sam Seeman) had moved to town and started school there. On that day, 8 years old, Rae knew she had met the love of her life. They wrote letters back and forth growing up and even when the war started. As Sam went off to basic training he came home for leave and they married.

Rae loved searching into family geneoalogy. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and she and Sam traveled everywhere. She was a constant volunteer at the Faith Community United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Memorial Gathering at Faith Community United Methodist Church, 8230 Cox Road, West Chester, OH 45069 on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Faith Community United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
