Nancy N. Dostie

Nancy N. Dostie (nee Neff), 80, passed away unexpectedly with her family at her side on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Nancy was born in Columbus, OH to Ormond and Elizabeth Neff. At a young age the family moved to Seymour, IN where Nancy grew up and went to school.

As the Neff family settled in Seymour, IN, Nancy excelled throughout her schooling and became class Salutatorian at Seymour Shields HS.  She was an “A” student at Indiana University and earned a BA degree, majoring in French.  She was a classical music pianist and enjoyed the opera.  Nancy taught French at Withrow HS for five years before starting a family in the late 60’s.  She later became a member of the Board of the Mental Health Association and for fifteen years managed a support group for mentally ill women.  She will be loved and missed by family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband George E. Dostie, Sr., son; George E. (April) Dostie, Jr. and daughter; Ann (Charlie) Johnson, grandson; Sabastian Johnson, brother; Robert J. (RuthAnn) Neff, nieces and nephews; David, Amy, Michael, Kelly and Scott, special friend of the family; Tom Wells and many cousins.

Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Sunday August 5, 2018 from 2-4 PM and on Monday from 10 AM until time of Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Brookside (West Chester) Cemetery.
