Pete H. McCreary, 53 of Mason, OH passed away suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2018. Pete was the beloved husband of Judy (nee Robinson), devoted father of Ryan (Tyler) Kwasniewski, Allie McCreary, Cami McCreary and Joshua McCreary, dear brother of Scott McCreary and Sharon (James) Potts. Peter is the uncle of Taylor, Jeremy and Asher Potts. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Linda McCreary.
Pete was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He met his wife Judy at the Ohio State University, and upon graduating, served in the campus ministry at their local church before relocating to Cincinnati. Pete was an avid OSU football fan, as well as relishing outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and boating. Pete was the owner and CEO of Junk King, Inc., in Cincinnati and Dayton, which was named "Small Business of the Year" by the Sharonville Chamber. Pete was a man of deep faith. Toward the end of his life he wrote, "I am blessed beyond belief to wake up every day and have a purpose and meaning that is greater than any career accomplishment, personal victory or personal crisis. I owe everything to Jesus and try to remember that every day." His family was his world, and spending time with them was his greatest joy.
Visitation for Pete will be at Cincinnati Church of Christ, 4220 East Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236 on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 2:00 PM until time of Service at 4:00 PM.
