Jim was known for his talent as a dancer. He performed on the Arthur Godfrey show, was a regular at Moonlight Gardens and often performed in high school plays. His love for dancing led him to open a dance studio early in his professional career.
Honorably served in the United States Coast Guard and as a Cincinnati Police Officer.
Known as the consummate sales person, Jim had an entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout the course of his career he founded a remodeling company, worked for various enterprises such as Nu Sash and Brunswick Corporation and spent the balance of his career as a member of the Custom Distributors family.
After accepting Christ on July 24, 1973 at age 36, his mission was to share the message of Christ with others. He went on to lead many small groups, bible studies and evangelism programs. He enthusiastically ushered and opened the church for over 8 years on Sunday mornings. On occasion, he was known to do a small tap dance using an umbrella in his TCBC Ambassador’s group. Jim will be long remembered for his gentle smile, sense of humor, gift of encouraging/strengthening others, love for children, passion for the gospel and for his evangelistic spirit.
Visitation will be at Tri-County Baptist Church on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with service immediately following. Military graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
As Jim had a heart for our missionaries, memorial donations may be made to Tri-County Baptist Church (Women’s Missionary Fellowship), 8195 Beckett Road, West Chester, OH 45069.
