JUANITA PATRICK RICHTER
Juanita passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on May 24, 2018. She was born April 24, 1941 in Magoffin County Kentucky—daughter of McCoy Patrick who preceded her in death and Maxine Crase Patrick who survives at 97 years old.
She was the devoted wife of Gerhard Richter for 53 years.
To Juanita and Gary were born four wonderful children who are a credit to their parents and to society in general. Dearly loved by her children: Dennis Richter married to Nancy, Erie, Pennsylvania; Diane Bacher married to Blaine, West Chester, Ohio; Debbie Rettig married to Clay, Newtown, Ohio; Dale McCoy Richter, Newtown, Ohio. She is the adored and cherished grandmother of: Ian Richter, Nicholas Bacher, Sydney Bacher, Taylor Maxine Bacher, Bailey Bacher, Lilli Bacher, Mason Rettig, and Elliana Rettig.
She is also survived by one sister, Norma Patrick Seto who loved her dearly and values their life-long friendship. Many nieces and nephews also mourn her passing.
Juanita had extensive work experience beginning just out of high school at General Electric Company. She was retired from Big Lots where she enjoyed a part time position as a sales associate.
Juanita struggled with attending funerals—not because she was insensitive, but because she was such a tender-hearted person it was difficult for her to witness the grief associated with such events. For that reason she requested that anything held in her honor be more a celebration of life. Juanita’s circle includes a sizeable family and extends to many others who would say she was like a mother or grandmother to them.
Please come celebrate with Juanita’s family and her many friends in the fashion that she would have liked.
Juanita was a good cook and a talented crafter. We will share celebratory beverages and enjoy food made from some of Juanita’s favorite recipes. There will also be a photo time-line display of her life and some items that show her talent and diversity in crafting with yarn, fabric, and thread.
There will be opportunity to share a story, a happy memory, or a heartfelt prayer.
