John H. Fry

John H. Fry , of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born Tuesday, April 5, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana to E. Everett and Joetta Grace (nee Bruner) Fry.

John's career in the banking industry started at Indiana National Bank, retiring after 42 years as Senior Vice President. John's many volunteer activities included Habitat for Humanity; First Baptist Church, Naples; Rotary; Indiana Society to Prevent Blindness and UC West Chester Hospital. Upon retirement, John took up golf and even scoring a hole-in-one while playing in Naples, Florida. His quiet loving nature and dry wit will be missed by all that knew him.

John was preceded in death by: parents, E. Everett and Joetta Grace Fry; sister, Mary Joetta Hammes and granddaughter, Holli Fisher Hutson.

John is survived by: wife, Linda Lee (nee Shafer) Fry; children, Lisa (Julio) Herrera, Jill (Steve) Burnett, J. Steven (Hope) Fry and Kristen (Shane) Whybrew; grandchildren, Sally (Rob) Summitt, Grant (Cassie) Fisher, Ben (Sheryl) Burnett, Alex (Emma) Burnett, Clay (Alison) Burnett, Hayley Fry, Jack Fry, Sadie Whybrew, Lily Whybrew and Kaleb Whybrew; great-grandchildren, Dorian Hutson, Parker Burnett, Sophia Summit, Rob Summit, Jase Muse and Henry Fisher; brother, William E. Fry; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Pelfrey of Grace Baptist Church officiating.
