David K. Batsche

David K. Batsche, 76 of Mason , passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018. David is the beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Miller) for 52 years, devoted father of Kim (Lorne) Batsche-McKenzie, D. Andrew (Desiree) Batsche and Kristin Traynor, loving grandfather of Clay, AJ, Evin, Annie and Nya, dear brother of Dr. Frank Batsche, Jr. and Barbara Batsche.

David was born to Dr. Frank and Ruth Batsche, Sr. in 1941. He was a William Mason HS graduate and class president of 1959. He attended Miami University, where he met his wife, Marilyn. They were married in June of 1965 and David then proceeded to get his law degree at The University of Cincinnati, College of Law and graduated in 1966. His office was Batsche and Batsche Law Firm and had been practicing law in Mason for over 50 years. David was Judge of the Mason Municipal Court for 30 years during which he received numerous Ohio Supreme Court "Superior" Awards.

He was involved in many activities in his community of Mason, such as being members of the Mason Chamber of Commerce and Mason Kiwanis Club. David was the president of the Warren County Bar Association, Warren County Heart Association and Mason Historical Society, as well as vice-president of the Warren County Historical Society. He enjoyed being a Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout Troop and a Deacon to his church. He had interests in Native American history, collecting Native American artifacts and learning local history. He enjoyed gardening and other outside activities.

Visitation at Grace Baptist Church, 5595 Mason Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 4-7 PM. Service at the Church on Monday, May 14th at 11:00 AM.
