Ivan Lee 'Woody' Wood, Sr., 90 of Mason, Ohio. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Ivan is the beloved husband of Wilma (nee Durbin) Wood, devoted father of Ivan L. (Julianne) Wood, Jr., loving grandpa of Lauren M. Wood, Taylor M. Wood and Payton L. Wood. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Rhoda Wood, sisters; Zobia Wood, Bessie McCreary, Ruby Glass and Mossie Ballard and brothers; Elbert, Lloyd, Russell and Glenn Wood.

Woody loved his family and his church. He enjoyed sports, volunteering at the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and was a life long blood donor. Woody joined the United States Army in September of 1950. He trained in the medical field and was assigned to a Army Hospital in Battlecreek, Michigan. He served two years in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He was employed as a counselor for the State of Ohio Board of Education and later worked at 1st National Bank.

Visitation will be at Compass Christian Church, 6771 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4 PM until time of Service at 5:00 PM. Military Honors to follow Service.
