On Monday, April 23, 2018, the heavens grew brighter as Our Lord welcomed his child, Carolyn Pottner, back to his kingdom. What a site it must have been when Carolyn was wrapped up tightly into the arms of her beloved husband with the choirs of angels serenading a love unique and special to only Dick and Carolyn.
Born on Wednesday, July 29, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, Carolyn Brown would marry her sweetheart, Dick Pottner at the young age of 19. Together, they would raise a daughter and son and later cherish the gifts of five grandchildren Carolyn would dub as her Angel Babies. Social Butterfly does not quite fit the bill for a lady that could host holidays and dinner parties with a style and flair that most would envy. Carolyn and Dick met lifelong friends at Maketewah Country Club playing golf, playing cards such as Hand & Foot and attended many parties throughout the years.
Taking roadtrips to California and Hilton Head were adventures Carolyn and Dick enjoyed. The family will treasure the many memories made on these trips together.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: her mother, Bonnie (nee Howard) Brown; husband, M. Richard "Dick" Pottner; sister, Betty Western; and brother, Jerry Brown.
Carolyn is survived by: daughter, Linda Pottner Laurance; son, Michael (Jennifer) Pottner; grandchildren, Elliot (Erin) Laurance, Elyse Laurance, Leah Pottner, Michael Pottner and Alexis Pottner; and many friends she loved as family.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
