Dorothy A. Haugland

Dorothy A. Haugland (nee Wright) 67, passed away peacefully in Louisville, KY on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Robert E. and Dorothy M. (Roedl) Wright. Dorothy is the beloved wife of Robert C. Haugland, devoted mother of Tammy (Jim) Messer, Lauren Haugland, Robert M. Haugland and the late Donald Mills, loving grandmother of Scotty Kindred (Mann), Dustin and Ashley Mills, dear sister of Ken Wright and the late Robert (Bob) and Randy Wright.

Dorothy originally worked for several local Cincinnati insurance companies as an office manager/secretary. After the birth of her kids, she spent most of her time doing volunteer work at the Lakota schools as well as leading the Dutchland Woods Dolphins swim team and related fundraising events. Dorothy touched so many people throughout her 20 years of being involved with the Dolphins as everyone's favorite "ticket mom" and watched many kids grow up who loved her. Dorothy loved her family and bringing other families and friends together. She enjoyed cooking and religiously watching her HGTV and cooking shows. She liked to garden and in her early years bowling. She will forever be remembered for her compassion and caring nature for anyone.

Visitation at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of Service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Springhill Cemetery, Liberty Township.

Dorothy had a love for animals, butterflies and angels. If desired, Dorothy would request spending time with your family by going to a museum, movie or to the park. Or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK  73123.
