Robert R. Groh, Sr.

Robert R. Groh , Sr., age 79, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hospice of Cincinnati East.  One of fourteen children, he was born Wednesday, April 6, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jacob and Jane (nee Grunden) Groh.

Bob lived a simple life, only worrying about the important things, such as his family.  He loved his children, but cherished his grandchildren. Spending time with them, playing a game of cards, and going fishing would always bring a smile to his face.  He was known as "Gramps" to all that knew him.  Having never met a stranger, Bob was the type of guy that would give you his last dollar and a place to rest your head.  And while he kept his life simple, he loved to play the lottery dreaming that today may be his lucky day.

Bob was preceded in death by: daughter, June "Sissy" Kretzer, Lyndle Groh, and siblings, Stella, Dot, Jane, Ruth, Rose, Bill, Helen, Jim and Lee.

Bob is survived by: children, Donna (Patrick) DeJulia, Robert R. Groh Jr., Rhonda (Tim) Foster and Ronald (Rikki) Groh; grandchildren, Michael (Sally) Zipperer, Talmadge (Diana) Zipperer, Thomas Bauer, Erica (Robert) Shafer, Ricky Kretzer, Ariana Rose, Christina Foster, Cassidy Groh and Lindy Groh; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Allison, Dallas, Audrina, Kayden, Kacy, Kiara, Aydenn and Layla; and siblings Jake, Pat, Barb and Sue.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
