Marilyn J. Burley

Marilyn Joyce Burley (Stump) died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at West Chester Hospital in West Chester, Ohio, December 24, 2017 at the age of 84.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Jerry Stump of Roseville, OH; children, Bruce (Debbie), Keith (Katie), Brian (Jane) and Marcia Miller (Barry) and grandchildren Hannah, Ben, Meghan Durbin (Justin), Lauren (David Falkof), Bethany, Jacob Miller and many friends.   She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. William E. Burley in 2016, her parents and an infant brother.

Marilyn was born on May 10, 1933 in Zanesville, OH to Dewey Ray & Emma Blanche Stump (Brown).   Bill & Marilyn married in 1953 and served numerous United Methodist congregations in central and southwestern Ohio (Ansonia / Dawn, Monroe / Excello, Monroe, Bethel, Medway, Westwood, Good Shepard, Hyde Park Bethlehem, Milford).

She loved her family, cooking for them, collecting & sharing recipes and being with her family & friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 with a funeral service immediately following at Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave, Monroe, Ohio 45050.  Interment will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the memorial fund of any of the churches that Bill  & Marilyn served.
