Thelma Gilpin

Thelma 'Granny' Gilpin (nee Anderson) 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in West Chester, OH. Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Edward D. Gilpin, devoted mother of Roxann (Jerry) Byrd and the late Nancy Charlene Gilpin, loving grandma of Mandy (Mark) Allen, Candy (Doug) Dillon and Katie Byrd and great-grandma of Jericho Dillon, Morgan and Brody Allen, dear sister of James Glen Anderson and the late Robert M. Anderson, aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Thelma loved cooking, cooking, cooking!  She was a great cook and canner and was able to teach many young ladies how to cook. She was a big part of the kitchen ministry at Tri-County Baptist Church for years. She cooked for the Young at Heart at West Chester Baptist Church. She was very involved with her church, Landmark Baptist Church, in many ways. At one time she was in charge of 286 six year old church kids. She served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Sharonville.

Visitation at West Chester Baptist Church, 6856 Dimmick Road, West Chester, OH 45069 on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:30 PM until time of Service at 7:30 PM. Interment at Landmark Cemetery on Saturday at 10 AM.
