Marty Haake

Marty Haake, age 60, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Hospice of Cincinnati - Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born Sunday, February 3, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to Virgil and Violet (nee Skelcher) Haake.

On Saturday, September 1, 1984, Marty married his soulmate, Ellen L. Lau in Columbus, Ohio. He had a fulfilling career in Building Materials Sales Management for companies such as Armstrong World Industries, Steelcraft, and USG which provided the couple and their growing family to reside in several states. Marty enjoyed playing Basketball and Golf. Being on the water on the family boat water skiing always brought a smile to his face.

Marty was preceded in death by: his parents, Virgil and Violet Haake.

Marty is survived by: his loving wife of 33 years, Ellen L. Haake; daughter, Kristin Haake; son, Justin Haake; brother, Ed (Melody) Haake; sister, Nancy (Bruce) Bollinger; brothers-in-law, Will (Lynn) Lau and Dan (Teresa) Lau; sister-in-law, Cathy (John) Hoehne; nieces and nephews, Jill Corrin, Ed Haake, Bill Lau, Chris Shaw, Josh Lau, Lauren Lau, Sarah Lau, Matt Hoehne and Amber Silberman; close family friends Ed and Pam Saraniero and their children Ben Saraniero and Hanna Coppel; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Faith Community United Methodist Church, 8230 Cox Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4:00 PM at the Church with Rev. Julie Alsip officiating. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery, 171 Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 (please meet by 10:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, if you would like to drive in the procession).
