Tammy Murray

July 29, 1963 — October 21, 2017

Tammy (nee Snyder) Murray, age 54, of West Chester, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born Monday, July 29, 1963 in Vincenn es , Indiana to Robert W. Snyder, Jr. and Lavona E. (nee Smith) Snyder.

Tam my was a few credits away from a masters but graduated with both associates and bachelors degrees. In 1989 in Washington, Indiana, she said "I Do" to Darrell entering into a 28 - year marriage . Th at year they would also welcome their daughter, Jasmine, to the family.

Tammy spent most of her life outdoors, or wanting to be. From her early years as an extraordinarliy obsessed horsegirl, to her most recent adventures leading her meetup group on hikes around cincinnati with their dogs. Despite being diagnosed late in life with Diabetes 1, that didnt stop her from walking three miles in the morning and the evenings with her beloved pups. If you knew Tammy, you most likely knew her animals, especially Mike because she barely left them at home finding any excuse to bring him, even on the most mundane errands. As Mom put it, Mike really liked to shop.

Tammy seeked the pleasures in life, and her greatest pleasure was being of s ervice to others. In the best way, she and Darrell were foster failures, because everydog they fostered they adopted. Her work of over 20 years was as a legal guardian appointed by the state in advocating and protecting adults with developemental disabilities. She used her degree in communications and her feisty personality to ensure a high quality of life for her clients. Her work did not end at five, she was very often with her clients off duty, enjoying outings with them to the mall, movies, bowling alleys, or facility parties. At home, she amazingly still had time to volunteer many hours walking both her own dogs and those seeking homes at the shelter. She didnt stop there, often spending the weekends working adoption events for various local animal rescue groups. One thing for sure her family and friends can agree on is the woman didnt stop, she was the energizer bunny for anyperson who needed her, human or animal. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her .

Tammy was preceded in death by: her parents, Robert and Della Snyder, Jr.

Tammy is survived by: her husband, Darrell Murray; daughter, Jasmine (Daniel Ohlhaut) Murray; brothers, Bob (Charlotte) Snyder and Jim (Angela) Snyder; sisters, Linda Osburne and Susan (Terry) Lynn; dogs, Mike, Katie, Winnie, Maggie; horse, Major Bey; guinea pigs, George, Steve, Kevin; and granddogs, Obie and Boomer.
