Duane Swanson

Duane "Bumpa" Swanson, age 64, of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.  He was born Saturday, August 29, 1953 in Princeton, Illinois to Ray and Imogene (nee Simkins) Swanson.

Duane was a Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cincinnati Insurance before he retired.  An avid sports fan, he enjoyed the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, but he was the biggest fan of his children and grandchildren.  Being on the sidelines, quietly cheering them on brought a huge smile to his face.

Duane was preceded in death by: his parents, Ray and Imogene Swanson; and a sister, Jacque Haskins.

Duane is survived by: his wife, Susie (nee Lind) Swanson; children, Abby (Stephen) Hawkins, Matt (Christy) Swanson, Cassidy Swanson and Mindy (Jeremy) Hartzell; grandchildren, Cole Swanson, Emme Swanson, Joey Swanson, Leon Hawkins, Kamryn Hartzell, Leighton Hartzell and Linden Hartzell; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
