Victor Klein

Victor R. "Vic" Klein, age 80, of Liberty Township, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his residence. He was born Wednesday, January 27, 1937 in New York, New York to Victor and Irene (nee Ross) Klein.

Victor enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 years old and was fortunate to travel the world (providing many entertaining stories) which he was able to continue in his professional career. Vic retired from Air Products & Chemicals as a Field Engineer after 23 years of service. Vic had a passion for the NY Yankees and cooking for family & friends. His most famous dishes were Pasta Bolognese, Braciole & Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding. You could find Victor touring the Midwest Irish Festivals sipping whiskey while wearing his favorite tee shirt that read “God created Whiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world”.

Vic was preceded in death by: his parents, Victor and Irene Klein; son, Richard P. Klein; sister, Victoria Kover; and father-in-law, Walter N. Peterson.

Vic is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Kathleen (nee Peterson) Klein; children, Brian R. Klein, Richard (Celli) Mellert and Kevin (Ashley) Klein; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Klein; grandchildren , Brenn Mellert, Nicole Klein, Reily Mellert, Brian Klein Jr., Ellora Klein and Elyse Klein; sister-in-law, Diane Carpino; mother-in-laws, Marjorie Peterson and Gloria Peterson; plus many loving family members and friends; including his four legged sidekick “Mattie”.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A Prayer Service will begin at 4:00 PM followed by military honors at the Funeral Home.
