Zsolt was involved in many activities and with many institutions in the Cincinnati area including: Crossroads Church; Ulmer and Berne Associates; Cincinnati Poison Control Center; and the VA Medical Center.
He was born in Gary, IN in 1960 and graduated in 1978 from Merrillville Senior High School. He received his college undergrad degree from Purdue University. He received his graduate degree from University of Illinois and his doctorate degree from University of Cincinnati. He was a lifelong sports fan frequently following Chicago area sports teams. Zsolt was very pleased that Chicago Cubs finally won the World Series. Even in his weakened condition over the past several months, Zsolt was able to take the family to Hungary, Europe to visit many members of his extended family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer and two wonderful children, Ava and Aidan from Mason, OH; parents, Laszlo and the late Agota Hertelendy of Merrillville, IN; brother Csaba and wife Teri Hertelendy from Vienna, VA; brother Attila Hertelendy and Ilona Pesti from Dallas, TX; brother Laszlo and his wife Beata Hertelendy from St Charles, IL; in-laws Robert and Sandra Dunkle of Vermillion, OH and Jeanne McCowan of Avon Lake, OH and many other relatives and friends who live all over the world and whose lives he touched in so many ways.
At Zsolt's request, his remains will be cremated. A remembrance ceremony to celebrate Zsolt's life is planned to be held at Crossroads Church, www.crossroads.net/mason , starting at 10:00 on August 26, 2017. In lieu of flowers, Zsolt requested donations be made to: Neediest Kids of All (NKOA) www.neediestkidsofall.com or Mason Food Pantry www.masonfoodpantry.org .
