Donald B. Mollman

Donald B. Mollman , age 89, of Mason, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, July 21, 2017 at West Chester Hospital.  He was born Saturday, October 15, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to Kenneth and Leona (nee Blizzard) Mollman.

Don received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.  He later furthered his education and earned his MBA from Xavier University.  Don was very active with the Mason community, serving on City Council, filling the seat of Chairman of the Charter Committee in his early 30's, and was Mayor of Mason in the early 1970's.  His passion to serve could also be seen in his activities with Mason United Methodist Church, Lions Club and Mason Lodge #678 F. & A.M.

Don was a family man.  Married to his life-long sweetheart, Martha, for 67 years they literally traveled the world with the exception of Antarctica and South Africa.  He was a man of many words and enjoyed writing poetry.  When he needed some quiet time, he would hit the golf course.

Don was preceded in death by: his parents, Kenneth and Leona Mollman; daughter, Geri Lynn Gardner; sister, Jeanna Norton; brothers, Lee Mollman, Tony Mollman and Jerry Mollman; brother-in-law, Gene Wind and sister-in-law, Marion Mollman.

Don is survived by: his wife, Martha A. (nee Schmeltzer) Mollman; children, Roxanne (Terry) Woedl, Diana (Herb) Orlick and Bruce (Mary) Mollman; son-in-law, Dan Gardner; grandchildren, Aaron (Jessie) Fenimore, Stephen (Kristina) Fenimore, Ethan Fenimore, Bryan Fenimore, Daniel Gardner, Rebecca (Aaron) Castel, Stephen Orlick and Jacob Mollman; great-grandchildren, Maria Fenimore, Elizabeth Fenimore, Charlie Fenimore and Clara Fenimore; sisters, Kay Wind, Lea (Connie) Mollman, and Chandra (Bob) Mattingly; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Mollman and Kay Mollman; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mason United Methodist Church, 6315 Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
