Lenny Routenberg, 88, of Mason, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at home, surrounded by family. Lenny and his twin brother Larry were born October 10, 1928 in Medford, Massachusetts.

Len is the beloved husband of Lorraine Routenberg (nee Seaver) for over 62 years. He is the devoted father of Karen (Paul) Smith, Kris (Wendell) Odom, Eric Routenberg, Kathy (Frank) Maher and Rodger Reed, loving grandpa of Matthew (Jordan) Reed, Kevin (Carol) Maher, Katie (Grant) Yeilding, Lauren Maher, Megan Maher and Hannah Odom, dear brother of the late Elaine Weinstock, Warren and Larry Routenberg, also survived by his sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews in the Boston area.

Joy, laughter and smiles-that best describes Lenny-even on difficult days.  His love for his family was deep, dependable and devoted.  All of his life, he worked out at the YMCA, played handball, racquetball, bicycled and rode a motorcycle and canoed.  As he aged, he continued to go to the gym 5 times a week.  He won his age group in the Flying Pig Half Marathon at age 83.  He worked at G.E. Evendale for 39 years as a Financial Analyst. After retirement, his love of gardening increased as he shared it with family and friends.  He volunteered at Church and at many organizations always willing to lend a hand and lots of laughter.  He was on the Finance Committee at St. Susanna for over 50 years and an usher at the ATP from it's beginning in Mason.  Yearly trips for over 60 years to Cape Cod with Lorraine were filled with great joy and renewed childhood memories of boating with his brothers.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 from 2:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. Family and friend reception to follow the service at the funeral home in the Mueller Family Center.
