Douglas A. Kennedy

Douglas A. Kennedy, age 77, of West Chester, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Bethesda North Hospital.  He was born Saturday, September 16, 1939 in Glendale, Ohio to Ambrose S. and Helen (nee Smethurst) Kennedy.

Douglas was a talented builder and carpenter and built numerous homes in the West Chester and surrounding areas.  When he wasn't working, Doug looked forward to hunting and fishing.  Even in his failing health, taking a fishing trip brought a smile to his face.

Doug was preceded in death by: his parents, Ambrose and Helen Kennedy.

Doug is survived by: his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara E. (nee Harris) Kennedy; sons, Keith (Donna) Kennedy, Craig (Charlene) Kennedy and Jim Kennedy; grandson, Benjamin Kennedy; brother, Jim (Janet) Kennedy; sister, Darlene Kahrs; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funeral Service will be Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Funeral Home.

The family requests donations made in memory of Doug be directed to Compass Christian Church, 6771 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
