Richard Wilcox

Richard "Rich" Wilcox, age 51, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 3, 2017 in West Chester, Ohio.  He was born Saturday, June 5, 1965 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Lloyd G. and Carol (nee Schabel) Wilcox.

Rich was a plant manager for Montauk Energy LLC.  His true passion was coaching.  He started out recording stats for Lakota West Football.  It wasn't long before he was coaching for the Lakota Tomahawks and has continued to coach for the last 11 years.  For the last 8 years, he found himself becoming active with Lacrosse both as a coach and volunteering on the sidelines.

Rich was an amazing friend all that knew him.  He was always ready to listen and give advice.  When you needed a good laugh, you could depend on Rich coming up with a crazy line from the movie Stripes.  Or if you needed to challenge your brain, you could expect a great game of Yatzee.

Rich has proven to be a giver even in his death.  He was a registered donor and will be able to save several lives through his generous gift.

Rich was preceded in death by: paternal grandfather, Glen Wilcox; paternal grandmother, Florence (nee Timm) Peters; paternal step-grandfather, Ralph Peters; and maternal grandparents, Franklin & Betty (nee Unferth) Schabel.

Rich is survived by: his five children, Derek, Jered, Katherine, Sydney and Max; parents, Lloyd and Carol Wilcox; sister, Debra (Dan Gantner) Hebert; nieces and nephews, Haley & Travis Hebert and Rebecca, Matt, Chris & Nick Beasley; many other loving family members including the mother of his children, Kelly Wilcox, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phil & Ginger Beasley, and sister-in-law, Karen Beasley; and an enormous amount of friends he considered family.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Rich.
