Raymond K. Roppel , 85, of Liberty Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Ray was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Corwin) Roppel, devoted father of Lori (Jim) Wasson, Lisa Roppel and Susan (Mike) Kiser, loving grandpa of Zachary (Kristi) Wasson, Maggie (Anthony) Rose, Matthew and Derek Kiser and great-grandpa of Landon, Trevor and Delaney Rose and Barrett and Gavin Wasson, dear brother of Loretta McCoy.

Ray was born in Turtle Creek, PA and received degrees from Allegheny College, PA and the University of Dayton, OH. Ray proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an engineer for NCR, P&G, and Fernald.

Ray was a caring family man. He enjoyed working around the yard. He held on to his home town roots by staying true to his Pittsburgh Steelers which some think was for spite.
