Richard B. O'Shell

December 24, 1945 — January 25, 2017

Richard Blaine O’Shell, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., passed away at the age of 71 to go home to the Lord on January 25, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne P. O’Shell and Roberta M. O’Shell (nee Figard) and his older brother Wayne P. O’Shell Jr. and sister-in-law Darol O’Shell. He is survived by his son Sean M. O’Shell and daughter Shannon Speakman and step daughter Whitney Greene and step son Joseph Scheets, his brothers Gary P. O’Shell and Robert W. O’Shell (Jean O’Shell/nee McCarthy) and his sister Bobbie (B.J.) O’Shell Holterman (Gary Holterman), his special and dearest friend Cynthia Scheets and nephew and nieces Curt O’Shell, Dalane O’Shell Corson (Richard), Carrie O’Shell Boling (Shannon) and grand nephew and nieces Colin, Finley and Claire Boling.

Richard was a National Account Manager for HR Profile located in Cincinnati Ohio. He was a sales professional for most of his career and lived in Levittown, Pa., Morgantown W. Va., Lexington Ky., Chicago Ill. and Cincinnati Ohio. Before he started his career in sales, he worked in the steel mills of Pittsburgh, managed restaurants in Pa. and W. Va. and was a journalist for a Morgantown W. Va. newspaper.

Richard enjoyed literature and reading, music and art, tennis and home remodeling projects. He attended Clarion Pa. State College and West Virginia University and received his B.S. Degree in journalism from WVU. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Memorial and visitation services will be held on Saturday February 11 at 1pm at Mueller Funeral Home located at 6791 Tylersville Road Mason Ohio 45040. A luncheon will follow the service and Richard's family invite all to attend and will be honored to share a meal and memories with you.Details can also be found at www.muellerfunerals.com .
