Nicholas L. Staab

Nicholas L. Staab, age 76, of Liberty Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, January 27, 2017 at home.  He was born Monday, March 4, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Nicholas J. Staab and Ann (nee Pierre) Staab.

Nick was in Pharmaceutical Sales.  He was the type of guy that never sat idle.  Keeping his hands, mind and body busy were extremely important.  Nick could often be found in his workshop where he would fix broken items, like placing a pin in Barbie's hip so her leg would stay attached.  Creating beautiful glass masterpieces, crafting, decorating and then re-decorating, were just a few favorite hobbies.  Nick also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with the grandchildren.

Nick is survived by: his loving wife, JoAnn (nee Baumel) Staab; two daughters, Lisa Sizemore and Laura (Lee) Latham; grandchildren, Timothy Ryin Sizemore, Casey Latham, Nicole Sizemore and Andrew Latham; close family friend, Teresa Sullenbarger; brother, Robert Staab; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton-Mason Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45011.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at the Church with Father Geoffrey D. Drew presiding.

A special thank you to Dr. Erika Brudzinski and the Vitas Hospice team for the compassionate and loving care they provided to Nick and his family.
