John DiLorenzo, age 74, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was born Monday, July 6, 1942 in Steubenville, Ohio to Samuel and Amelia (nee Sebastinelli) DiLorenzo.
John worked at Ford Motor Company for over 30 years, retiring as a Supervisor. He was proud to serve in the Reserves of the US Marine Corps. Although a labor of love, John could often be found taking care of the yard. He loved to plan trips which would usually involve traveling to the beach or anywhere it was sunny. A sports fan, his favorite team was the Steelers. John's family will miss his animated facial expressions as well as his many one-liners such as, "Read my lips" or "Mark my word".
John was preceded in death by: his parents, Samuel and Amelia DiLorenzo; wife, Shirley (nee Klose) DiLorenzo in 1979; and sisters, Sandra Taylor and Diane DiLorenzo.
John is survived by: his daughters, Shannon (Bert) Rayburn and Jennifer (Daniel) Bauer; life-partner of 26 years, Rhonda Estep; step-daughter, Tara Estep; grandchildren, Jayme Rayburn, Chase Rayburn, Keyton Rayburn, Meadow Rayburn, Dylan Bauer and Jillian Estep; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Interment will immediately follow the mass at West Chester Cemetery.
