Charles E. Humphrey, age 89, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016. He was born Tuesday, May 10, 1927 in Coalfield, Tennessee to Frank and Monnie (nee Ritter) Humphrey.
Charles was a Technical Illustrator for Aircraft Engines with General Electric. He married his sweetheart, Beulah Mae Hoover, on Monday, December 31, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charles enjoyed traveling with wife and children, visiting all 50 states as well as many countries. An artist, he was also a very talented handyman, building many barns and decks over the years.
Charles was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank and Monnie Humphrey; wife of 58 years, Beulah Mae (nee Hoover) Humphrey who passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016; brothers, Monroe (Pauline) Humphrey, Jordan (Sibyl) Humphrey and Sanford Humphrey; and sisters, Edith (Archie) Kring and Evelyn (Clyde) Fritts.
Charles is survived by: son, Gregory (Ellen) Humphrey; daughter, Kimberly (Wayne Furr) Stonecipher; sister-in-law, Annie Jane Humphrey; grandchildren, Benjamin Charles Humphrey and Mary Beth (Don) Gatliff; great-granddaughters, Charlee Jane Humphrey and Rae Caroline Gatliff; numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew Vaughn (Patsy) Humphrey; and many other loving family members.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Funeral Service will be Friday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
