Lois Jean Karr

Lois Karr (nee Grotrian), age 72, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at University Hosptial.  She was born Saturday, July 15, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Lois received her Associates Degree and worked as a Surgical Technician at Mercy of Mariemont.  She later worked in accounts receivable and retired from Tri-Health.  Lois enjoyed reading and hand crafts such as knitting and crocheting.  She was very active in the Altar Guild and other activities at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Lois was preceded in death by: her parents, Herman and Gertrude Grotrian.

Lois is survived by: her husband of 53 years, Duane M. Karr; son, Daniel (Jeanette) Karr; daughter, Denise Karr; brothers, Frederick (Marsha) Grotrian and Anthony Grotrian; and other loving family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church,  7127 Dutchland Pkwy., Liberty Township, Ohio 45044.  A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Joel Morgan officiating.
