William C. 'Bill' Mangold, Sr., 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016.  Devoted father of Matthew Mangold and Billy Mangold, Jr., loving grandpa of Jaxson Mangold, beloved son of George Mangold and Eleanor Edwards, dear brother of Alice Gundler, Alvina (Molly) O'Neal, Dolly (Rick) Proffitt and Tom (Melissa) Grigsby, also survived by his caregiver, Michele Shirley and many nieces and nephews.

Bill served in the US Marine Corps discharged as a Gunnery Sergeant.  While in the military, Bill discovered he enjoyed boxing and was quite accomplished.  He found great honor in bestowing military rites as a distinguished part of the Military Honor Guard.  Bill enjoyed boating and fishing.  He also liked to bowl and play softball.

Memorial Gathering will be Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home.  Inurnment will take place at Dayton National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Bill be directed to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
