November 1, 1930 — October 31, 2016

Willie B. Gevedon, age 85, beloved husband of Aline E. Gevedon (nee Anderson), devoted father of Dr. Sherry L. Gevedon (Dr. Jeffrey T. Janning), and Tim Gevedon (Cynthia), Maineville, Ohio. Loving grandfather of Olivia Gevedon and Jake Gevedon. Preceded in death by his parents, David Marion and Cora Lee Gevedon, brother Lexie Gevedon and sister Nancy Castle. Willie passed away surrounded by his family Monday, October 31, 2016.

A United States Army Veteran, Willie served in the Korean War assigned to Nuremberg Germany, Company C, 15th Engineer Battalion.

He was employed by General Motors, retiring from Delco Moraine, Dayton, Ohio. Willie was highly respected by all who worked with him and holds numerous commendations for innovations in design and work processes.

Willie was a business owner, taking extreme pride in his workmanship providing exquisite quality upholstering. He was a clock and watch expert with an extensive knowledge on the history, style and repair of timepieces.

Willie had an extensive interest in sports, an array of hobbies and was active in golf, horse racing and billiards.

Willie's signature "handshake" was an inspiration to all who knew him. He leaves a legacy of teaching others the meaning of giving back. The love of his life were his grandchildren, Olivia and Jake. He enjoyed spending time with them and attending their concerts, sporting events and philanthropic activities. His integrity, respect, and loyalty to friends, family, community instilled a lifetime of traditions.

Willie attended Sycamore Presbyterian Church for 30 years. Services at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249 on Saturday, November 5, 2016, Reception and Visitation at 9:30 AM, Service at 10:30 AM, Interment at 12 noon, Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, OH.
