James Matthew Schroeder

James Matthew Schroeder, age 42, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 30, 2016.  He was born Thursday, October 10, 1974 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Edwin and Theresa (nee James) Schroeder.

Growing up in the Indianapolis area, Matthew graduated from St. Barnabas Grade School and Roncalli High School where he was an outstanding athlete.  He then went to Xavier University in Cincinnati where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.  It was during college that Matthew met his best friend and love of his life, Krista Wellman.  They were blessed with an extraordinary marriage filled with beautiful memories, love and laughter.  He was a devoted husband and amazing father to three beautiful children who were the light of his life.  Matthew was a extremely loving son, brother, son-in-law, brother in law and friend to all.

Matthew is survived by: his wife of 13 years, Krista (nee Wellman) Schroeder, children, Reese Schroeder, Wyatt Schroeder and Ethan Schroeder; parents, Edwin and Theresa Schroeder; sisters, Jamie (Matthew) Schwendeman and Anne (Tim) Shine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Wellman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David (Julie) Wellman, Linda (Bob) Shad, John Wellman, Maria (Kevin) Rutz and Sara (Mike) Shultz, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069.

The family requests donations in memory of Matthew be directed to the Matt Schroeder Memorial Fund at any 5/3rd Bank.
