Joy M. Vincent

Joy M. Vincent (nee Biska), age 88, of Mason, Ohio, (formerly of Evansville, IN) passed away peacefully Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Chesterwood Village.  She was born Thursday, August 2, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Vincent and Mary (nee Starha) Biska.

Joy was a Nutritionist prior to her marriage and was proud to say that she sang with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Evansville, Indiana.  Once she was married and started a family of her own, she was able to stay home and care for her children.  Her caretaking continued on to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Joy was very active in Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church before leaving Evansville to move to Mason, Ohio.

Joy was preceded in death by: her parents, Vincent and Mary Biska; husband, Dr. William A. Vincent; and brother, Dr. Hal Biska.

Joy is survived by: her children, John (Deborah) Vincent, Don (Nancy) Vincent, Mary (Mark Melick) Vincent and Lynn Vincent; grandchildren, Sara (Dale) Sparks, Ben (Lindsay) Vincent, Matthew Vincent, Paul Vincent, Elyse Vincent and Jill Vincent; and great-grandchildren, Emily Sparks and Miles Vincent.

The family requests donations made in memory of Joy be directed to Hospice of Southwest Ohio Foundation, 7625 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
