Doris F. Lupidi

Fedora Florence (Moretti) Lupidi, (nicknamed Doris), of age 94 , born in Columbus Ohio on January 22, 1922 passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert D. Lupidi, loving mother of Michael J. (Kathy) Lupidi, devoted grandmother of Debbie (Jason) Clarke, Patty (Ken) Cash, Julia (Justin) Thompson, Jim (Tiara) Lupidi, Mary Ann (Tim) Boehner, Susan (Taylor) Wood, John (Kayla) Lupidi, Robert (Jessica) Lupidi, great-grandmother of Ben, Andrew, Maddie, Adelia, Ethan, Jackson, Anna, Adrionna, Mason, Juliana, Dylan, Katelynn and Dominic. She was preceded in death by her parents Domenico Moretti and Adelina Romantini as well as her siblings Carlotta (Enrico) Bando, Bernardo (Eva) Moretti, Armando (Mary) Moretti, Raffaele (Phyllis) Moretti.


Following high school, she worked at Timken Roller Bearing in Columbus during World War II as a supervisor of a bullet assembly line. She married her sweetheart on June 8, 1946. With the birth of her son she became a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. As an empty nester, she worked at Lazarus. She loved making ceramics, golfing (she had two ‘holes-in-one’), and had a knack for decorating, fashion design and jewelry. She loved a good cup of coffee over conversation with family and friends. The role of a care giver and Doris went hand-in-hand. She loved to help other people. She was a very devout Catholic and had a great devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary.

Visitation will be held at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton-Mason Rd, Liberty Twp., OH 45011, on Monday, September 19 from 10:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Committal service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Columbus, OH on Tuesday at 11:30 AM.
