Janet S. Juenke

Janet S. Juenke (nee Borchelt) of Sharonville, Ohio passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the age of 75. Janet was born on Monday, November 18, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama to Walter and Lola (nee LaBelle) Borchelt.

While growing up, Janet's athletic ability allowed her to play hardball with the boys during pickup baseball games in the neighborhood park. She was often the first player picked by the boys to be on their teams. A high school coach joked that he wished she was a boy so that she could officially play on his school team. Janet later enjoyed coaching her own children's soccer and softball teams.

Janet never met a stranger. She enjoyed talking to most anyone from business executives to the average Joe. She was well-schooled on many topics and was willing to debate (hold court) over anything.

Janet primarily enjoyed two types of music: Elvis Presley and her son Marc's heavy metal bands. Crosswords, gemstones and jewelry were among other hobbies she enjoyed.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lola Borchelt. She is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, John W. 'Bill' Juenke. She was the devoted mother of Catherine (Mike) Rupert, Randy (Mary) Juenke, Marc (Lisa) Juenke and Kimberly (Jerry DeWitt) Juenke. She was the loving grandma of Brittany (Ben Bedinghaus) Rupert, Michael Rupert, Mark Rupert, Brandon Smith, Tyler Juenke, Hannah Juenke, Samuel Jacobson and Leah Jacobson; and the great-grandma of Patrick C. Smith. She was the dear sister of Jean (Dr. Robert) Biles, John (Helen) Borchelt, James (Janet) Borchelt, Richard (Mary Jo) Borchelt and Donald (late Rosemary) Borchelt; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, OH 45069 on Saturday, September 3rd from 9:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM.
